Bonlife Barista Spotlight: Evelyn
Meet our newest team member, Evelyn! Evelyn is a barista at BonLife Coffee Roasters, and we’re so happy to have her on the team. Read on for the interview with Evelyn and to learn more about what it’s like to work at BonLife.
How long have you worked at BonLife? I have worked at BonLife for a little bit over a month now!
How long have you been interested in specialty coffee? I have loved coffee throughout college, but since working at Bonlife have started to get to know more about the science and art of coffee.
What do you like about working in coffee? I love interacting with new and regular customers and getting to know someone every day at Bonlife. It is super fun to make new drinks and see the happiness on people’s face when they enjoy it!
Why did you want to work at BonLife? I wanted to work at Bonlife because I love the baristas (now my coworkers!), the environment, and the ethically sourced and house made coffee and ingredients. I know that what I’m eating and drinking is the best quality.
What’s your favorite part of being a barista? My favorite part of being a barista is making lattes and learning the art of pouring latte art & different designs.
What is your go-to coffee drink when you’re not at work? My go to coffee drink is an iced vanilla oat milk latte! Cant go wrong with simple and sweet.
What is something you have learned from working as a barista? Something I’ve learned at Bonlife is that coffee brings people together. I have met so many different people behind the bar and been able to serve them and better their day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of work? My favorite hobby outside of work is photography and content creation!
What’s something you look forward to learning in the near future? I graduate from Lee University in May and am excited to continue to learn more about coffee and pursue my passions post grad.
