Highlights From Our Latte Art Throwdown
BonLife hosted its first Southeast Latte Art Throwdown a couple of weekends ago, and it was a total success. We hope this throwdown was the first of many! We’re sharing some highlights on the blog today.
First of all, congrats to our winners pictured above! They have out-of-this-world latte art skills, and it was a very close competition!
And a huge shoutout to our staff who kept the craft beer and Vietnamese cold brew flowing during the event, put in hours of planning beforehand, and welcomed people from the Southeast coffee community into our cafe with open arms.
Our latte art throwdown was bracket-style; so two competitors went head-to-head, and one was immediately eliminated when the judges pointed to the winning drink. Each round halved the competition, and it was a close race! Friends and coworkers came to cheer on the competitors and enjoy the party. It was a very exciting and celebratory atmosphere.
Our judges from the local coffee community represented BonLife Coffee Roasters, Burlaep Print and Press, and Honeymoon Coffee.
If you’ve never been to a latte art throwdown, you can read more about them here. They are a fun tradition in the specialty coffee community, and we are honored to have hosted one! Thanks to everyone who came out to pour, cheer people on, and just enjoy the merriment!
A big thank you to our sponsors for this event: Bonavita and Saint Anthony Industries. Go check out both of their websites if you’re looking for high-quality specialty coffee gear. We love working with both of these brands and are so grateful to them for sponsoring this first Southeast Latte Art Throwdown.
We’ll see you all at the next one!
