Welcome to the First Day of BonLife!
We know, we know: we’re starting this too early for it to end on Christmas. That’s because we want to give you a few extra days to finish up that last minute shopping with our specialty coffee gift guide in mind.
So without further ado: on the First Day of BonLife let’s talk about travel tumblers!
We love insulated travel tumblers for many reasons. The most important being they keep your coffee warm (or cold) and tasting amazing for hours, followed closely by the fact that they’re good for the earth! Bring your own tumbler to fill at the coffee shop & help cut down on waste.
Here’s what to look for when shopping for a travel tumbler for someone you love:
Size. What size of coffee do they normally enjoy? Tumblers are available in all shapes and sizes. Get the one closest to their favorite size because too much extra room in the cup affects how long the coffee will stay hot.
Lid. Our MiiR tumbler has a leakproof 360 lid which allows you to sip from any side of the tumbler. We love this, but maybe they prefer a flip lid that snaps closed or a lid made to fit a straw because they only drink iced coffee. Again, choose one based on their preferred type of coffee drink.
Shape. Our travel tumblers fit into most drink holders in most cars. We love this for convenience sake, but maybe they’d prefer a tumbler shaped more like a mug with a handle.
Care. Most travel tumblers are double-walled, stainless steel and therefore recommended to be hand-washed. Often the lids are dishwasher safe. Does your loved one throw everything into the dishwasher? Then take the care instructions of the tumbler into account.
Design. Last but not least, what does it look like? What’s their favorite color? You can find a tumbler in any color with any design under the sun these days. Maybe they are big fans of a certain coffee shop or destination. Check the websites of places and brands they love; you’d be surprised how many business that aren’t even coffee-related sell reusable coffee mugs.
Yes, our custom coffee plant MiiR Travelers are our favorite, but there are other excellent options on the market! Shop around for one that’s just perfect for the specialty coffee lover in your life. If they don’t have a travel tumbler or reusable to-go cup, this is a must!
