2024 at BonLife: Our Year in Review

As the year draws to a close we are reflecting back on some of our favorite moments, memories, and coffees of 2024. We couldn’t have done any of it without your support, our amazing staff, and the incredible farmers from whom we source coffees. So thanks! Join us for a walk down Memory Lane on the blog today.

First of all, we sourced and roasted some amazing coffees this year! Some of them won awards like the 90+ point Coffee Review coffees pictured above. Some of them were rare like the Ethiopia pictured above. Some of them were quietly amazing, enjoyed by our regulars, online customers, and us without any fanfare, just enjoyment. Some of them are still available for purchase on our website!

We couldn’t do what we do without the people who carefully grow these beautiful coffees! On that note, working with and visiting farmers was a highlight for us this year! It’s always centering for us to see where the coffees we roast come from and meet the people who grow them. We were so inspired by the farmers we worked with this year who are pouring back into their own communities, caring for the environment, and producing high-quality coffees.

Golden Bean was a highlight of our year, as it so often is. We participated in the World Series in Australia where we took home gold in Super Automatic Espresso, and we attended Golden Bean Americas where we were inducted into the hall of fame!

Our roaster, Kade, entered a separate competition, Roastronix Pro X Cup, where she snagged third place! We love attending Golden Bean, the world’s largest competition for coffee roasters, because we get to taste amazing coffees and spend time with people in the coffee community.

We hosted our first latte art throwdown this summer, and it was a blast! Baristas came from surrounding cities and counties to pour their hearts out at BonLife. Our Southeast Latte Art Throwdown was a smash hit.
