Colombia - La Palma & El Tucan Heroes Series Geisha

$28.99

La Palma y El Tucan is a world-famous coffee estate situated in Cundinamarca, on the eastern side of the Colombian Andes, two hours away from the capital Bogota.

This extremely small lot of Geisha coffee is a beautiful example of this estate’s coffee! It underwent a unique bio-innovation washed process which highlights the sweet tropical fruit tasting notes.

Delicate, nuanced, and extremely limited availability!

Our La Palma & El Tucan Heroes Series Geisha scored 94 points with Coffee Review July 2024:

Blind Assessment

Candy-sweet. Watermelon bubble gum, candy apple, pineapple saltwater taffy, sandalwood, kumquat in aroma and cup. Delicately bright acidity; plush, creamy mouthfeel. Very sweet finish centered around notes of watermelon bubble gum and pineapple saltwater taffy.

Notes

Produced by Felipe Sardi & Elisa María Madriñan at Finca La Palma Y El Tucán, entirely of the Geisha variety of Arabica, and processed by a proprietary “bio-innovation” method that involves fermenting the whole cherries in clay vessels with selected yeasts before pulping and drying. Bonlife Coffee Roasters is a woman-owned specialty roaster in Cleveland, Tennessee. Visit www.bonlifecoffee.com for more information.

Bottom Line

Dessert-like in its sweetness, this experimentally processed Colombia offers versions of fruit notes in their candylike incarnations (think watermelon and pineapple).
